Washing machine full of water but is now stuck with a fault!

I am not an expert on these things but here is what I would check first: Is the water hot enough (has the heating element failed and it is not getting up to temperature) The thingy that measures the water temperature has failed (hence no signal to the controll board to start the wash)

    whirlpool washing machine not draining

Sorry, must have been half asleep when I responded. Next thing I would check is the condition of the motor brushes. (assumes I am not still half asleep)

    whirlpool washing machine not draining

Either the pump has failed (burnt out) or it has jammed. I have before now found a hair tie wrapped around the pump impellor, jamming it solid. Once the pump operates and empties the water, the controllot will get a signal to move to the nect stage in the program cycle.

    Resetting Control Modules.

Looking for advice on how to reset Control Modules. This is a Haus washing machine that is stuck on the spin cycle. I am reasonably sure that the Control Module has scrambles its program. I switched the machine on, door open and held the start button down. After 5 seconds I heard a beep and now...

    Haus Spin!

I have given up on my Haus washing machine. I changed the pump, the level sensor, had the motor off, checked the controllor board for dry joints, etc. Still remains stuck on a spin cycle and all the controls are disabled. Spent hours on the forum looking for answers but most problems seem to be...

    Haus Spin!

Yes, I switched off the machine at the mains, unloaded alll the washing, closed the door, switched the machine on again and it runs and runs on the spin cycle without stopping. So tomorrow, I will pull it all out, put it on its side, check the pump and pipes and anything else i can see. Could be...

    Hotpoint aquarious wd440 faults

On my machine, (not a Hotpoint) I had the problem of the water not being pumped out. I discovered that my son had put a hair tie in the machine, this had got wrapped around the pump impellor, jammimg it solid, hence no water being pumped out so the probram was not getting a signal to move on to...

    Haus Spin!

Hi All, I have a Haus Washing Machine (Yes I know not one of the better makes but I only gave £50 for it at 4 months old) Bit too much I think now I have seen the internal quality of the machine. Today my son loaded it with washing, (overloaded it) and it now is stuck on the spin...

    Sideboard Damage

Had this problem on a dark oak coffee table that had rings on it from people placing hot cups on it. I used brown boot polish. The boot polish contains brown dye, then polished it with an orbital car polisher.

    Water Leak.

Thank you, gentlemen. I have today found 2 taps leaking gently underneath a hand basin plus a weep under a radiator valve pipe. Now the little black cog remains stationary. It does indeed seem to be very sensative. Thanks again.

    Water Leak.

Can anyone offer information about water meters please? My last quarterly bill was over double that of the previuos three months so I decided to look for any leaks. My water meter has a small black cog in the middle under the glass. I pressume that if this continues to go around when nobody...

    central locking

I have no experience with this particular model but I feel it is a good bet that you have a sticky/on its way out microswitch in the door. Either the door lock microswitch or something in the door lock actuator ( the thing that moves the door button up and down) The actuator may have two...

    DOORS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING

I had this same problem for months on a Rover 820, also the alarm would go off sometimes when locking the door. It was the very devil to track the fault down. Finally had to look for the fault when opening the door caused the alarm to go off every single time. Turned out to be a tiny...
