    Sorry if not v clear. The double socket has 2 - 2.5mm going to it After thinking (and chiseling) im going to continue with two lots of 2.5 twin Is that correct? Do I need to take one off the double and circle it (another not clear question)?

    cheers, dual box it is heres one - I'm branching off a double socket to the grid switches Can I use 2.5mm 2 core earth and single live from the double socket, sharing the neutral / earth or must I use 2.5mm twin / earth for both switches?

    Asking for a friend. Oil heating - when the heating is on (morning) and someone runs a bath or has a shower the pressure drops on the boiler and cuts out, the boiler then needs to be topped up (pressure) before it kicks in again. I thought the water pressure (flow) to the shower/bath needs...

    Hi I have a Heatrae Sadia and the immersion hasn't worked for a while so I replaced the thermostat and still nothing Are these stats straight forward to wire up, it seemed it when I did it, just wondering if the last one was wired up wrong way, there is power. Any ideas?

    cheers plenty of sockets etc I went round with a layout marking where each socket was and thought plaster over that, and that and........ nice to have enough but I hate sockets in view everywhere, id rather have an extension lead

    Hi Am buying an untouched 70s property soon and have looked at the wiring behind a socket and it looks good but what should I look for when deciding whether to go for a rewire? It has a recent meter but the fuses are the old style so it could do with a modern fuse box

    okay, compressions are a no go, ive never had one leak but do know about access issues! might look into plastic but have seen a couple of these blow without much pressure, could be a goer thanks for the info
