how to hang 40kg .... on plasterboard!!!

yeah I figured the plasterboard wouldn't be too smart... Thanks for the type of bolt recommendation, would this need to go through the breeze into the brick or would the breeze hold it? If the former thats a looooong bolt

how to hang 40kg .... on plasterboard!!!

Don't laugh. I would like to hang a plasma screen (which I'm shocked to find out weighs 40kg) on a plasterboard wall. It is an exterior wall so beyond the boards is breeze block and then brick. I bought a Stanley Intelisensor Digiscan (pause for breath), to see if I could find the wooden...

    BT phone lines

i had two phone lines in the house when i moved in, line 'A' and line 'B'. B was for fax and internet. A the main phone line. I'm now on broadband so no longer needed the two lines. B was a better number so A was 'disconnected' - electronically i assume as it was done within an hour of my...

    Smelly shower

Not sure what you mean when you ask 'How' is it connected..... plastic pipes!!(sorry - not techy when it comes to plunbing) it connects then to the shower/bath outlet in the family bathroom next door (a run of about 4 feet), which is the strange thing - no smell in there at all....

    Smelly shower

I've endured a smelly shower room for 3 years, its driving me nuts. I've had plumbers investigate leaks etc, with no luck. The house is only 3 years old, the smell comes and goes and doesn't seem to be dependant on use..... Any thoughts before i resort to a sledge hammer? :?

    Noisy hot water tank

The noise is like there is someone peeing into a metal bucket 24/7. H attempted to renew an olive on a rad valve so shut off the mains supply as well as the cold feed into the Boilermate. The Boiler itself was never touched. Its as if the tank is constantly refilling.

    Noisy hot water tank

Forget that - it's the main tank, not the small one above.....sorry about that. So same question applies - how do I stop the noise?

    Noisy hot water tank

Got a Gledhill Boilermate 2. On top of the main tank is a small tank with a ballcock system in it. Ever since I shut off the water to fix a radiator, this small tank is forever refilling, 24 hours a day and its noisy. Its keeping me awake at night. What the hell have I done and how do I fix...

    Moving a radiator

Thats the beast - olive green hammerite type finish with small (noisy)feeder tank on top. Everytime a plumber sees it they scratch their heads...say "Oh"...suck air through their teeth and jump straight on the mobile...... Sick of plumbers hence on here.....

    Moving a radiator

Can find neither drain plug (other than the valve I pictured above) nor the filling loop I've seen pictured on other threads - maybe not a combi system then? Gloworm 'Ultimate' feeding a Gledhill Boilermate Mk2.... all I know is it costs a fortune to run..!!
