I take it you mean outside the bathroom itself ? If I understand correctly, the only electrical connections you can have in a bathroom are a shaver socket. The ceiling is only 7'6" or have I mis-read the zones picture ??

Ive been using tlc's cable calculator to size up a cable for a shower but there isn't an option to show cable being run inside an uninsulated stud wall ( 5M ) or underneath a floorboarded floor ( 3M ) in an unheated space. Can I use the "clipped direct to a wall" with no insulation section or...

the rainwater goes directly into the back yard drain which goes directly into the sewers. the boiler drain pipe goes the same way as well. the rainwater pipe is about 3 inches or so in size the boiler pipe is just short of an inch in size. thanks

The drain pipe from the boiler comes out of the wall and runs straight down alongside the rainwater pipe into the yard drain. it looks really ugly and i wondered if i could tap this into the rainwater pipe to shorten the run from about 14 foot to a matter of inches? both pipes are plastic so...

i got the new pump fitted and bled it once i had turned the valves back on and it works great thanks very much to everybody who helped.

oh right ! if they are seized do i have to buy specific ones that will fit the pump or are they all the same?

thanks i will do that tomorrow then there are two maintenance valves at the top and bottom of the pump so i can turn them off so i dont get any leaks.

Thanks very much for the replys i was beginning to think that i had bought the wrong pump. so can i leave all the pipework alone then or should i invert the cold feed pipe like the boiler instructions say. its a ideal optia boiler?

I've just bought a new grundfoss 15-50 pump, as recommended by people on here. I may have a problem though. Reading through the instructions is says that pumping downwards is not recomended although the old pump did. It also says that the cold feed from the expansion tank should be on the return...
