Do you have an automatic air valves or thumb screws on the primary's ? Ps - might be an idea to take a picture of your pump and surrounding pipework so we can see your setup

To start with...... Bleed the pump by unscrewing the screw in the middle of pump. You will get a few drips but not a flood.

+1 I've seen 2 inch splits in a copper pipe near to a fitting that held. They're like anything, if not used properly they will fail.

With the water back on, what is the flow rate at the hot tap and can you take the spout off to clean out any crap?

As well as speccing your boiler, Your installer should also check the pressure and flow rate to ascertain the suitability of installing an UV cylinder. Ps - Megaflows are expensive compared to other cylinders available that do the job equally as well.
