I've got a 110v Fein which is excellent and the 10.8v Bosch. The Bosch is ok for occasional use but not really man enough in most cases. As for blades do an eBay search for Saxton blades. They are cheap working out to under £2 for some blades and last nearly as long as the manufacturers...

Aqualisa Quartz pumped shower to combi boiler or mixer showe

Your best bet is to ring Aqualisa and ask them if your processor is suitable for a combi boiler (you can't pump mains water). I can't see why they would specify that the mains pressure should be under 1 bar when you have the option of turning the processor for a use on a combi!! Nb - a 24kw...

heating cools when domestic HW is on

That's quite an assumption being that you don't know if it's the original cylinder, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't OV boilers still fitted nowadays, I'm sure I fitted one only last year.

    Prog thermostat with remote handset?

Every Salus programmable stat I've fitted has had to be replaced as they went faulty. However I've heard that the non programmable ones are more reliable, but have never had the confidence to fit them. I always use Honeywell nowadays.

    Shower not getting hot enough.

I would try this 1st rather than assuming it has been set correctly out of the factory, which I doubt will be the case, especially from the bath store

    Combi or unvented direct cylinder?

I would go for a Vaillant system boiler and unvented cylinder too. Thermocompacts haven't been made since god knows how long though !!! ( or am I wrong?) Why go for a direct cylinder rather than indirect?

    Boiler recommendation help

I would lso go for an UV cylinder and Vaillant system boiler, a 637 would probably be over kill though, I can't see you needing anything like 37kw from the boiler.

    how to price/quote for p&d jobs - support for a newbie p

Painting & decorating is not my trade so I've no idea on how long a job should take although I'm guessing your far too cheap. I would warn against building a business by being cheap. You'll get the s**t end of the work and find it hard to get paid the going rates.
