    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

Great thanks. What should I expect to see under the titles? The underside of the plaster board used on the garage inside celling?

    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

Thanks guys. This is the roof (looking down from the bathroom window). Should I should be able to just push the title out of the way?

    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

This is the outside where I want to put the downlights in. Thinking about it I don't think I can get behind here in the garage as it's too high! How do how get behind this to run cables etc?

    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

Y The inside of the garage where the soffits are on the outside is just a breeze block wall. I'll try to get some pics to help explain what I'm trying to do. Thanks

    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

Ok sounds likes that's the way to do it. Can't be bothered with plastics cracking everywhere (give me timber anyday). Im thinking of putting the lights above the garage soffets more than top roof line. But that has no loft space. I will just have to drill though the brick in the garage and...

    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

Yes but I think I will need to get to the back of them to be able to route and drill holes for cable etc. I may be able to do it all through a hole, but dont really want to drill a hole in them blind without knowing how I'm going to route the cable etc. Humm, so they are one use item really if...

    UPVC Soffits and Lighting

Hi guys. I live in a new build house (about 2 years old) that has all UPVC soffits and fascia’s around the roof lines. I want to fit some led downlights into the soffit to give some nice looking outdoor lighting to the front on the house. Now I’m totally clear on the electrical side of things...

    Boiler service

I'm thinking of signing up for a boiler service plan, mainly to get the yearly service. Can anyone recommend a good one or are they all the same? Boiler (Baxi) is only 15 months old in a new build house. Is it better just getting a gas engineer in to do the service? Do I even need a service...

    Nest installation help (with photos)

No of course not. I'd never do that as you need a gas safe person to do that. I'm talking about installs that don't need to touch the boiler. Ie DIY Installs.

    Nest installation help (with photos)

Nest is easy and is a DIY job with a little thinking, and taking the time to understand what's going on. At the end of the day it's just a fancy switch. I've installed two 3rd gen ones so far (with little help from certain posters on here!)

Nest Installation Help – Lots of Pics!

Don't worry. I've done it. Happy days. It's really easy to be honest once you sit down, take your time and have a think. Money for old rope these 'professional' installers.

Yer no worries. Think I've cracked it now. Both heating zones working fine, just hot water to do. Pretty easy when you sit down and think about it.

Nest Installation Help – Lots of Pics!

Sounds like a typical answer from a **** tradesman, just pushing the problem on to someone else. Anyway, have a great Xmas! :)

Nest Installation Help – Lots of Pics!

Because this is a DIY forum? Why you coming on here if you don't want to share information? Very odd!

Nest Installation Help – Lots of Pics!

That's not very helpful. Starting to realise why this is called DiyNOT! If you read the thread I've already paid for someone to do it, but he couldn't. Like most trades people I comes across, thick as pigsh*t and no critical thinking or problem solving skills. Anyway I'll work it out myself.
