Is it possible to buy a vent that will allow a cooker extractor to vent through the roof. The roof is slate and it would need to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Thanks
Is it correct that the Underfloor heating and the insulation below it are all below the DPC in the walls, and that the screed would be at the wall DPC height.
How do I wok out wha pipe sizes I need to run both for central heating and hot/cold to bathrooms and kitchens. There are instances where there are two ensuites next to each other and I was thinking of 22mm and spur off with 15mm to the taps. For the rads something similar.
An electrician used some small push fit cable connectors to join cable to loop in at the switch. Does anybody know where I can get such things. All I can find on searching the Internet is strip connectors.
Has anybody fitted one of these electric showers? The instructions state that the cable clamp must be used and I can see it on the diagram but there does not seem to be one on the shower?
I want to have wo new showers installed. We have one on a combi boiler frm mains, but was thnking of the two additional showers being electric. The water pressure is not great but feeds the combi fed showr OK. Would it be a good idea to install a tank and feed the new showers from that?
There is a consumer unit in there already, it is near the door and has never been a problem but we are adding a shower, a cooker more sockets an attached summer room etc. so the unit needs upgrading.
Does a consumer unit in a garage have to be a "Garage" consumer unit and IP rated or can a normal house unit do. The Garage units that I have seen do not have many mcb spaces.
