Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

You are being silly. I've just read up a bit on the product. It does sound good and some of the boiler have 10 year warranty. The main reason I won't go with the company is my husband has the final say - it's his rental property and his money. He is more cautious than me.

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

I'm not saying they are no good, just simply that I haven't heard of them.

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

I've never heard of Rapid before so I'm going to steer clear of that. My preferred boiler has for many years been Vailiant. The house is going to be sold in 2 to 3 years so we are looking at price and length of warranty. If Baxi can't fix it - we will probably just switch over to the...

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

Just one more question - anyone know of a cheaper supplier than Mr Central Heating/Ultimate Heating?

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

It's only £60 more for the 28kw. I will give Baxi a call in the morning and see what they say. You never know, they may match the offer Homeserve have given me - I'd much rather have a boiler with a 7 year guarantee than a two year one. One thing for sure, the monthly payments are being...

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

It's one bathroom, with a shower over the bath.

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

The price is boiler only. Homeserve gave me a price of just over a £1000 for a 24kw ideal boiler fitted. I feel that a 24kw is too small it is a very decent sized 2 bed house. Also the Ideal only has a two year guarantee.

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

Anyway - back to the original question - Baxi or Potterton? I'm guessing it doesn't make any real difference as it seems they are the same company now?

Gutted :-( Yes, Baxi Solo. Always serviced under the care contract.

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

It is a Baxi. It is exactly 8 years old. I am disgusted about the policy. Really disgusted. As a landlord, we often hear stories of 'my landlord left it weeks before getting the boiler repaired'. We wanted to offer our tenants peace of mind for any possible breakdowns. We had 7 years...

It's the heater exchange - no pressure.

Boiler Change - BAXI or Potterton

We have to replace a boiler in a rental property as it has broken down and gas company say economically not viable to repair. Quite annoying considering they have had 7 years fault free premiums out of us. We have narrowed our choice down based on cost and a 7 year warranty to BAXI Combi...

    Paint Sprayer

Hi I'm thinking of buying a paint sprayer and have been having a good read up. However, I can't seem to find out if the paint sprayers are OK to use on new plaster. Ie, for a mist coat. With mist coats, you dilute the paint. But with the spray machines you dilute the paint for normal...

Priming MDF Doors - but slight accident with Oil!

Hi I had some wardrobes built out of MDF which I need to have primed before painting. Unfortunately I have brushed past two of the doors and I had bio-oil on my arm. It has marked the doors. I'm thinking that the primer wont go over the oil marks. What should I do? Many thanks George

Plastering Mistakes - How to Rectify

OK. He should have used EML. So now I have to ask him to come fit tap to the ceiling and to the wall and use easi-fill to bring it in. When the easi-fill is dry should it be skimmed over - or will it be a good enough finish for painting? Many thanks
