Boiler pressure rising to 4 when heating is on, PRV not kicking in, plumber thinks the pressure gauge is faulty, thoughts?

Does the boiler actually work for central heating and domestic hot water,or is it going to lockout ?

Boiler pressure rising to 4 when heating is on, PRV not kicking in, plumber thinks the pressure gauge is faulty, thoughts?

Very unlikely that a replacement boiler is needed , replacement PRV is very likely ,the EV may just need recharging or at worst replacing.

Boiler pressure rising to 4 when heating is on, PRV not kicking in, plumber thinks the pressure gauge is faulty, thoughts?

Further investigation required to determine if the EV is actually functioning as it should. What tests were carried out on the PRV ,if any ?

Vaillant Ecofit Pure - pressutr valve settings.

What does the boilers pressure rise to when heating is in use ? A filling loop that doesn't close would cause the pressure to increase . The pressure loss is likely to be unrelated.

Looking for advice where an installer has used 15mm for main heating feeds

If the system works ,what exactly are you worried about ?

Toilet leak but have sealed the pipe still leaking

It must be near there or it wouldn't leak there.

Toilet leak but have sealed the pipe still leaking

The silver hook connects to the little black lever above it. The toilet can't flush without it connected ?? The float valve that controls the water flow into the cistern needs servicing ,or replacing in my opinion. Does water continue to drip INTO the cistern from that valve ?

    Shower/Sink waste pipe issue

Reducing the waste water pipes length would be the obvious thing to do. Is there a reason why you can't do that ?

TRV change on rad attached to hot water loop

Is the " hot water loop" connected to a central heating system with a hot water cylinder ? If so, running hot water taps is irrelevant. You need to drain the system at least to a point lower than the radiator you are working on.

    Drain down hot water pipe

You could fill the whole room with rockwool ,how is that going to result in water coming out the taps hotter than the " lukewarm" that you currently told us about ? The boilers pressure gauge has nothing whatsoever to do with the domestic hot water. It indicates the pressure in the sealed...

    Drain down hot water pipe

Are you referring to static or dynamic pressure, when quoting 1.5 to 2.5 bar ? And how / where are you measuring it ? As said already ,you need to establish why your boiler is only providing lukewarm hot water to the bath taps, that has nothing to do with copper or plastic pipes being used.

    Drain down hot water pipe

Changing the pipework diameter to 22mm will have no effect whatsoever on the hot water pressure. At the length of 15metres that you told us ,that would leave a larger volume of water cooling in the 22 mm pipework, than there currently would be in the 15mm, all of which would need to be displaced...

    Drain down hot water pipe

Why are you changing the hot water pipe from 15mm to 22mm , it sounds like you have a combi boiler,is that so ?

Can you show us pictures of the vent pipe position over the loft tanks. Where is the hot water take off point to the shower pump from the hot water cylinder.
