Yeah the tap is open and the pipes are hot on both sides. The pipe is hot going into the tank but the tank is cold. What is a sidewinder?

Nothing like that. There is a little metal box with a slide type switch on it that says open at one end. It's currently off.

Hi, I've got a Darfuss 102ES control panel and a Grunfos Alpha 2 next to the tank in the bathroom. That's about it really. Not sure what else I can do to get the water hot. Should the tank in the bathroom be warm when the water warms up? All of the pipes other than the cold water pipes are...

Hi all, daft question but what are the chrome or brass wrap arounds called at the bottom of a front door that screw to the floor but you can see outside of the house? I want to buy a footing plate ( which is what I'm calling it ) but nothing comes up on the internet.
