    Hi, you may have to retain the 100ma 'upfront' and add a 30ma on your socket circuit. Your electrian will advise if the TT earth is adaquate. DS

    If you can install uplighting. This gives an even dispersed light and makes a space appear bigger, adding dimmer switches will also make it much more flexible. If you do use down lights use LED. Regards, DS

    Is there not another unfused spur wired in 1.5mm to a socket in the 'study' ? This would be non compliant, as you are changing a single socket to a double and are retaining the socket in the study. All fed from a JB which is spurred from ring final. Kind regards, DS

    Yes, always handy if you are doing work on the socket circuit, (as you only have one ring). e.g., the freezer or using to power tools while working on the electrics. DS
