    Thanks kevplumb. I have done the job today. You only get one chance at this, so must do it right first time. The wood drill bit I had was no good, it were cheap and blunt. So had to go and buy a bosch bit for £8. Don't think i will ever use it again. :)

    Thanks for the reply. Yes the heating has been on to dry the paint out as it's been quite cold. The paint has taken ages to dry without the heating on. There was water on the window ledge to. Not sure what you mean about the wall.
