    Hi People. Can someone advise me how to best cover a dark colour with a lighter colour. I currently have a "coffee" type colour paint that i want to replace with a cream colour paint I see B&Q do large tubs of white ... Is it best to paint over with this first & then use the cream, if so...

    Yes there is carpet in the hallway ... I will check out the fabric ceiling route ... If only i could afford to knock the wall down between the toilet & the bathroom ... That may solve the problem :oops:

    The flush is rather noisy & being a bungalow, the bedrooms are in close vicinity. This can be a problem especially at night especially. The ceiling is just under 8ft high ... Probably standard, but feels high when in there, with the room being narrow

    Cutting In

    Can anyone offer any tips to "cutting in" when painting ... Tried & failed miserably on a couple of occasions. Whats best way to paint skirting so i dont get gloss or silk (havent decided yet) paint on the carpet. ANy feedback appreciated
