    Roof Insulation Problem

Our house has a is a typical two storey house, with a 'porch' on the front containing the entrance lobby and downstairs WC. These two rooms get VERY cold and i suspect the roof void is very badly insulated if at all. However there is no access hatch where i can check. I had planned on...

    Honeywell CM907

For those of you that recommended the Honeywell CM907 programmeable thermostat - THANKYOU VERY MUCH! What a decent bit of kit. Unlike my old one (the Timeguard), its accurate to half a degree and actually turns off when the air temperature falls below. However i do have a couple of questions...

    Room Thermostat

Funny you should say that, i've been looking at that exact model - is it a good one then? With regards to my wiring, the 1 - (Red) - Com 2 - (Blank) - Off 3 - (Yellow) - On 4 - (Blue) - Neutral Does this sound correct? If not any ideas? I'd love to get this one sorted otherwise is the...

    Room Thermostat

Hi, i'm in need of some help with my room thermostat. I've recently posted on here about a Timeguard TRT035 programmeable thermostat. 'Picasso' helped me loads getting it set up properly but unfortunately I had to return it for a refund as it was so innacurate it wasn't turning on until at...

    tv picture breakup

Is it raining? Bad weather can cause that to happen. Also look at where it's pointing in comarison with ur neighbours. If that fails get a higher strength aerial or ideally a signal booster. My BBC is fine but I struggle with channel 5 in my area. In really bad weather I can forget the majority...

    Porgrammable Room Thermostat

Right, the Dil switch is set to pumped and not gravity. The wires are as follows: Neutral: Black Live: Red 1 (HW Off): Red 2 (CH Off): (Blank) 3 (HW On): Yellow 4 (CH On): Blue Assuming the colour of the cables are correct, when wiring the thermostat, we connected red to live, yellow to...

Ok, how do i find out the valves? I know they're in the airing cupboard but there are several in there, how do i know what each one does?

    Porgrammable Room Thermostat

Oh ok. Just a couple more things: 1) does it sound strange that even when i've set the heating to off on the programmer, the thermostat will still turn it on and off as necessary? If so is there a solution as i've got no way of completely turning the heating off. 2) Will the water still turn...

    Porgrammable Room Thermostat

So basically i should leave my programmer on 'on' (contstant) all the time?

    Porgrammable Room Thermostat

No i mean CP715 - sorry, must have hit wrong key. With regards to Pete's reply, i don't have no idea about the valves - any ideas on how I can find this out? It doesn't really bother me that I can't control the water and heating separately, I'm really trying to get the programmable...

    3D TV

In my opinion it's best waiting. Having to wear glasses seems a little already seems a little 'primative'. I admit the quality is far better than the old anaglyph but technology is already progressing away from glasses. Look at Nintendo's new DS and Toshiba's new 20 inch TV - neither require...

    condensation?

We had this problem too and insulated the inside face with insulated plasterboard. Don't forget the vapour barrier though otherwise it would just hide it.
