You can take that off and replace it easily, I think without changing any wires. Does it control both hot water and heating? If you used that with no contactor (which makes the clunk) it would last about 5 minutes. :lol:

If the instructions say a 65mm hole, and he drilled a 65mm hole, who is at fault?

If the hole is the correct size, which you say it is, then how can you withhold payment? Double check with the instructions for the downlighters. Also check the downlighters are sitting in the hole centrally, and aren't sitting to one side.

Forgive my ignorance :lol: what does this thing contain? Surely they're portable, i.e PAT territory?

I am after some 12v strip lighting to replace the halogens in the back of my van. Could I replace them with LED or flourescent types without worrying about battery life? I have a Transit, which I beleive, has two large batteries for inverters etc etc. Any advice would be great. :D

You could just fit an SRCD (RCD Socket) on the load side of that spur with the 5amp fuse. This will obviously limit your socket to 5amps, which is sufficient for chargers etc.
