I am after some 12v strip lighting to replace the halogens in the back of my van.

Could I replace them with LED or flourescent types without worrying about battery life?

I have a Transit, which I beleive, has two large batteries for inverters etc etc.

Any advice would be great. :D

Are you sure? I think mine only has one battery.

Anyway, fluorescent or LED would probably use less than the halogens, so they should be fine.

Don't forget, if your'e using domestic fittings, most will be designed for AC, and vehicles use DC.

Thanks for your help guys, will have a look later.

RF: Its a 2007 Transit which I think has two batteries under the drivers seat,

It's not uncommon to add a second battery if you have an inverter or towing pack, even factory fitted - but base level transits come with one.
