Hi, I wish to fit 12v LED lighting in a caravan but have it so it'll work off the mains hook up but also off my leisure battery. Being that the LED's are already 12v, do I just need n adapter to unplug from a 240 plug and connecting to the battery?

Have a look and the combined charging, power supply and control panels from Zig and other manufactures. They offer automatic battery charging and switching of the supply when connected to mains. They are specifically designed for this purpose for use in caravans, motorhomes, boats, etc.

It's been a decade or two since I got involved in such things, but Zig was widely considered to be the leading manufacturer back then.

Example here. Other brands and suppliers are available. https://www.grasshopperleisure.co.uk/zig-cf8-charging--distribution-control-panel-system-979-p.asp
