What it is, you see is that if i give the diverter valve head a gentle tap it then starts to open the valve to allow the hot water through to heat up the cylinder. after about a day the water starts to cool and then we give it a gentle tap and it opens up again. What i wanted to check by taking...

Hi does anyone know how to remove the casing on a 2 port diverter valve its a range make and is white. But looking at it i cannot see any screws to undo to take it off so any ideas would be great many thanks. And yes i will disconnect it from the mains power supply. Darren

I turned the heating off at the programmer so that the boiler would only come on if the need for hot water was needed and about 5 mins ago the boiler just kicked in so just waiting now to see if the water gets hot. As you can see the white box with the red cog wheel is not a cylinder stat as that is in a seperate pic. the last pic on the right is the zone valve actuator on the side showing the letters A and B. I will need to get a voltage indicator to check that power is getting to the zone valve actuator...

if the motor had gone in the actuator would it still move to the letter B when the central heating is turned on? because it does. Cheers
