Hi Have had Texecom Premier Elite fitted for a month now, all working fine with app telling me when system is armed, disarmed and remote UDL started BUT Today I had a false alarm while out and did NOT get an indication on the app - only realised when I got home and external sounder was...

A question: why does my 1930's house have 2 outlets from the sewage inspection chanber

Vinn - that's great information - thanks The main sewer is definitely shown in the garden - see below There is an inspection chamber - unfortunately previous occupants have placed a fence directly above it - not impossible to get to but very inconvenient. I'll make the other changes you...

Is there anything I can do to improve the flow from the branch so that it does drop straight into the channel?

A question: why does my 1930's house have 2 outlets from the sewage inspection chanber

When I looked at the 'droppings' they looked more like dead woodlice - so I'm hoping they are not rat droppings - we haven't had any sign of rats since living here for 7 years.

A question: why does my 1930's house have 2 outlets from the sewage inspection chanber

To answer your questions: I assumed that the cover was over the main sewer that would run across the back of the house joining up the neighbors - I now realise that the main sewer is further down the garden (I know its there as I have seen house plans from 1930 - just couldn't work out how far...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

Final Update (Hopefully) - after moving the ComWifi to a non-DHCP IP address its all working as it should - thanks to everyone for their help :-) SecureIAm - yes aware that this might be a fix that works for me and not others and maybe some time in the future I might try again within the DHCP...

A question: why does my 1930's house have 2 outlets from the sewage inspection chanber

Photo posted. No feeds from neighbours only from my property. Single feed from my property (apart from new pipe from ensuite). The soil pipe and other waste pipes are all in a line at the side of property so assume they all collect and then run into this inspection chamber

A question: why does my 1930's house have 2 outlets from the sewage inspection chanber

Photos as requested The pipe on the right is from a new ensuite and the pipe at the top on left is a vent

A question: why does my 1930's house have 2 outlets from the sewage inspection chanber

I have had to clear the feed from the kitchen to the main sewage inspection chamber in my garden. Only a short distance so it was quick to do. On lifting the inspection chamber I assumed I would find this was exposing the main sewage run for the other house in the road; so an inlet and outlet...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

Update. So far the app continues to work flawlessly. So the move to an address outside of the DHCP range seems to have cured the problem. I did have a moment this morning after trying the app and it failing where I thought the 'old' problem was back but then realised it was because I had...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

The Port Forwarding rule is assigned to both. You set it up by pointing to the device (in this case the ComWifi) and it then lists both the Mac Address and the IP address

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

OK - so I have now chosen an address outside of the DHCP range (so shouldn't be affected by lease times) and have changed the panel etc to reflect the new IP address. I can now see the ComWifi at new IP address on list of connected devices but (obviously) I dont see it on the DHCP Table. So...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

Thanks for the comments Paul. The longest I can set the lease time for is 21 days. To be honest that gets me over the problem of holidays etc whereby I should be able to maintain connection (this of course assumes that the lease thing isn't a red herring. Re the app knowing the ip address of...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

Its now looking like it is a lease problem. The lease expired last night and the ComWifi is now absent from the list of connected (or disconnected) devices. I cannot use the app to log onto the system but am still getting notifications and can still ping the ComWifi. Wintex still works...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

An Update: Following a post on a BT HomeHub site where it was recommended that I triy 2 things: 1. Disabled Smart Setup - I don't know what this does? 2. Choose to use an IP address outside of DHCP. I tackled this slightly differently by changing the range of DHCP so that the IP address...

Still having issues with the Texecom app unable to connect through ComWifi. Can anybody help please

Thanks all for responses Paul - if I can configure WOL on the BT HomeHub 5 would that help? (I suspect not as that would presumably only be applicable if i was unable to access from outside of my network). From what you say about ARP (which I don't understand) then it sounds as if the ComWifi...
