    stainless steel mesh?bigest cause of cracks for any render system,were the mesh doubles and trebles,(on mesh overlaps ),gets hot in the summer expands more than the render an cracks,shape up boys and keep up with modern building methods :)

    i stay clear of the stuff m8,i find it all over the place as it sets,and gives bad colour when used to dash,cheap an nasty,opc every time. edit to say,it sets hard so is okay for a float coat,if your lads used sbr as an admix this will cause it to go black but is no bad thing.

    you can buy in bulk bags if you want to employ a couple of skins to bucket it up,but if you do this for a living you prolly should buy bagged!

    the stone is washed and well graded and of a guaranteed colour,means you can go back and match the stone for years to come,but it is £7/8 a bag.

    you can buy specialist beads to fit anything(but costly)but personaly ive yet to find anything better than a tiler corner bead :)

    beg to differ joe but there are cheap mesh an fix solutions,means nothing if the scratch dont stick to the substrate,the mech fix will hold,to the op fix the water ingress first,then render!

    apply any one of the above about 5mm then bed your mesh cloth in the top two thirds if you get my drift,then scratch and top as per.
