I've just had plasterers in to do my downstairs rooms, where I'd knocked off all the blown 30's plaster, they used sand and RUGBY cement as a scratch coat. The whole lot come up black. I've seen and used blue circle and castle cement many times but have never seen this stuff, the lads told me that Rugby is superior. Can anyone tell me more about the stuff?

i stay clear of the stuff m8,i find it all over the place as it sets, and gives bad colour when used to dash, cheap an nasty, opc every time.
edit to say,it sets hard so is okay for a float coat,if your lads used sbr as an admix this will cause it to go black but is no bad thing.
