How far apart would two structures need to be to be exempt?

That's what I'm looking for advice on :) Should I worry about it or should I not? The garden fence is being replaced as part of this job. But yes, good point, the neighbour has a pond that could be affected. But it is on the side that we are raising, so we won't undermine it.

Thanks. I have low pitch roof tiles so I can get into these limits (just). I take it building regs will apply? Is it just for the roof, or will the reg apply to the entire extension (even though it's not being modified beyond the roof?).
