I replaced a MCB with a RCBO today for socket circuit in small factory unit. I tested it all and it was fine. After i left there was a bang in the CU and the power went down, blowing two of the three main fuses (3Phase). Upon investigation there seems to be soot on the new RCBO which is red...
Just been to house to add 3rd switch to landing light circuit. Thought would be easy simply adding 3core and intermediate switch. But when opened both swicthes up, upstairs and down, both only had 1 wire in each of the 3 terminals, instead of 2 wires in L1 & L2.
How can i add the 3rd switch...

Come across a S/O which has cables from ring into connector block then 2.5mm TW&E from CB to S/O as cables from ring are too short. What number would this be on a PIR and is it dangerous or against regs? Is it just treat as a radial?
Sorry John explained badly, cable runs in correct way (left/right/up/down) i mean the box is 100mm to the right of the sink, but maybe 300mm high, so it works out 400mm away from sink, is that ok? Its on RCD for added protection
Come across a blanking plate today about 100mm sideways from a sink in a cloakroom but a good 400mm from it diagnally. behind it was a connector block feeding a boiler from the ring. Obviously this needs fusing down using a FSU but is it allowed inside a cloakroom? If so how far away from sink...
Is it ok to upgrade main bonding from PME to CU with 16mm Cable simply by isolating supply then making connections at CU then to the PME earth terminal?
