    Distance from Hob

    When installing a hob, its recomended that you keep all sockets etc 300mm each side from it. If the hob was installed at the front of a worktop and the socket was directly behind it but 300mm away would that be ok?

    32A sockets the loop imedance should be less than 1.2 ohms, but if its a TT system how is it gona be below this? Is it ok to just give it an RCD for supplementary protection? Do the figures for max loop in regs not apply to TT systems?

    I want to get 2 2.5mm T&E, 1 1.5mm T&E & 1 6mm T&E cables from one building to another using conduit. What size will i need? Will it be 2 x 20mm or 2 x 25mm? Were in regs do i find this info? It seems just to be for singles, is they an easy way of working out?

    Been to a house today and found the lights had no earth cable. Most of the lights in the house are metal fittings. The lady dosn't want it rewiring as its just been decorated, so would putting them on an RCD be sufficient? I inspected the fuseboard only to find that they was no main earth...
