That's a very good idea :) We have an outside light/pir that is often triggered by an old tom who includes us in his patrol patch but it would be fairly easy to set something sufficiently high to exclude him. Before anyone asks we know he is a tom by the way he marks his patch :)

I don't think I would bother with 1080p lite. Now I am slowly understanding DVR specs I agree that particular one is pretty poor although at least it manages a specification unlike most "consumer grade" devices I have looked at. I am still very much learning and it does seem anything worthwhile...
