    Boiling water tap. Vent pipe

You can pretty much do what you like in your own property, but any warranty is usually voided if MI's aren't followed to the letter.

    Boiling water tap. Vent pipe

With quooker, you create a trap in the discharge hose by putting a loop in it. IIRC latest quookers no longer need a tundish which is good because if a waste disposal unit is also fitted then crap always gets shot out of the tundish. Quooker Europe did supply a non return device to prevent...

The sealant is silicone. I always use Dow Corning 785. Other silicones are available.

    Alcove shower - sealant guidance

Yes. But when I fit a screen, I normally just put a short bead where the bottom heel of the profile channel meets the intersection between wall and tray. The rest of the tray gets sealed after screen is in... That way you don't risk messing up the "on show" bead whilst fitting the screen.

    Radiator Sludge

Don't be touchy buddy. I was just telling how it is... From a "conscientious" gas safe - sole traders' POV. There are many types of tradesmen and many types of customer. If your install was plagued with "safety issues" (which an AR or even ID) suggests it was, then that's one thing... And...

    Alcove shower - sealant guidance

Biggest issue with shower doors is that so many are fitted without a bead of silicone behind the bottom heel of the wall profiles - this is essential. The reason you usually only seal the outside is because water/moisture will always eventually find it's way into the hollow channels down the...

    Radiator Sludge

This is why he bailed out. Any tradesman would be wary of a customer that tells them, on first meeting, that they are apt to call in work checkers! What are the details of the boiler issues? And did you try and resolve with installers before calling Gas Safe?

Upstairs rads getting hot, downstairs not at all.

Many boilers are just thrown on the wall and not "range rated" or configured in other ways that suit the system... And almost all combis are oversized for DHW performance, which is why CH modulation settings are so important... else boiler spends it's life cycling and rarely gets corrected.

Upstairs rads getting hot, downstairs not at all.

Check for sludge and balance the system. You didn't mention you had smart TRVs. Remove all these and balance the system but check for poor system water as well... Fairly easy... Shut off valves to smallest rad and drain and remove it. Plenty of videos that show you how.

No drain valve? Magnetic filter on the system?
