    the timbers your talking about will span up to about 6 m at 400 centers according to trada but I joists will go further look on the finnforest web site for finn joists they span over 7m don't know about cost though

    don't know sorry. it could be taking longer because of the dpc surrounding most of the edges? i.e. the only surface the moisture has to escape from is the surface.

    you could put a larger beam running in the same direction and between the trusses splitting the span of the 8 m to two 4 m spans and then put some small beams or T section to break the 6.5 m span to two 3.25 m if its only taking ceiling load then it wont need too much steel and you'll get away...

    what was said above is spot on technique wise but ive always found that the guns have a tendency to keep seperating the mix inside and then you need to take it appart and scoop it out and refill it and it gets really annoying.
