    What make / model of combi do you have, is there more than 1 bathroom / shower room, outlets, sinks ect.

    Dont forget, combi takes mains water pressure, and depends on the LTR p/m it gives Your mothers sounds like a stored water system IE copper tank ect ( conventional system) maybe with a pump. :?

    Not really sure what this guys problem is,,, ie c/h or dhw. Yes i would look at the pump first, then the fan, and the venturi inside, then flame sensing device. Although the later, should be done by a competant person as this involves taking the inner case off. 24CDI is a single speed fan...

    Ill say not an easy job, i was left to change one many years ago, it was Chirstmas Eve. Never done one before then, i was still there in the early hours of Christmas Day. :oops: Dab hand now, but still have the ocassational drip. :wink:

    Brand new central heating/water system. Plastic or copper?

    Personally, i dont use plastic pipe, but what i have heard is that certain inhibitors, over a certain time, rot the rubber 'o' rings in speed fit fittings, thus a leak ! Although, i stand to be corrected.

    Sounds like pump is either seised. or running dry, as said try turning shaft on pump with a screwdriver.
