How can i secure metal linear drainage?

Hi, on one section one of the sides has broken away, but they are all loose, there no bolts holding them down, they are just jammed, this is on the entire street. I will re-cement this side. There are no sections on the metal plate for bolts, like you see on some, so i was thinkinf of a small...

Hi all, about 5 weeks ago i put 4 established (6ft) red robin trees in the garden. They have really taken off, growing really well. One question i have that's not on the guide that came with them, new branches are growing all the way up the trunk, ideally i want 3 ft of just trunk, otherwise...

Confused over Decking joist spacing will this be ok?

Hi all, here are my drawings, these are using 400 joists and the deck boards staggered into thirds (is this ok to do?) Does this look ok? or is it over engineered LoL Also see the top right hand corner, this is where it will go.

Confused over Decking joist spacing will this be ok?

Thanks! Thermo, i bought the boards a while back as they were on offer at the merchants and before i thought out my plants  I agree with the 400 centers, but how would you solve my problem? Do you think stepping it is the way to go, sort of the same way you would lay laminate...

Confused over Decking joist spacing will this be ok?

Thanks, 6 x 2 i was going to use, but if you think it's not strong enough, i'll go for 6 x 4? I am in the middle of creating a drawing of each one , i'll post them to get some feed back!

Confused over Decking joist spacing will this be ok?

Help with Ideal Icos HE24 F/L Code.

Thanks i'll have a look at the plug! The piping outside is not insulated - I'll take a pic of it if you like. There is a 45 degree bend in it, so would a possible answer be that with the cold weather and maybe some sludge build up at the 45 degree bend it is freezing and the tube is being...

Help with Ideal Icos HE24 F/L Code.

So after reading many threads, looks like i am stuck with this rubbish LoL As it did it just after i started this thread  Ok the simplest thing to do first which in fact you said was to: Take the trap off clean out, preferably using a small screwdriver, flushing won't clear...

Help with Ideal Icos HE24 F/L Code.

Hi all, 8 days ago I noticed the heating had gone off, so checked the boiler and it had the flashing F/L code, after checking the online manual it was a Flame Low warning, so i hit the reset button and all was fine. Now it went off a further 5 times, each time reseting seemed to do the trick and...

Dad put a nail through the water pipe - no leak!

Yep, that's what an independent plumber told us about our new build, the amount of cases he has had a few years after the initial warranty runs out on new builds is scary! Also the fact that new builds don't have floor boards which can be easily lift to check, they are glued chip board which...
