    Thanks. I did look at that idea but the pattern is too pronounced - three different textures - that I'd lose all opacity getting anything dense enough to mask it. As I can't remove the glass without damaging the door, I think the door will have to go and I'll have to start again.

    Thank you. It certainly can't be prised off as the beading edge is routed out of the side rails so it's all one piece - I assume that the glass is installed as the doors are made, before the top rail goes on? I'm wondering if it may be better to stick this door on ebay and start again...

    Is there a neat way to remove factory fitted glass panels from an interior door? (Four panel door, top two glazed with fussy patterned stuff - need to replace with solid frosted). The beadings are integral to the side panels. Thanks.

    Thank you for replying and for the suggestion. It seems that it is applied with an acid etching solution so it looks like we're either stuck with it or will have to change the glass.
