    grohe wireless pumped shower question

have purchased the above shower, for which the input pressures for hot and cold need to be between 0.1 and 1 bar. does anyone know what the output pressure of the water will be from the pump? would be useful to know as shopping for fittings etc, which often have a recommended pressure rating...

    diverter valve question

Hi Guys, could anyone tell me why this diverter valve wouldn't work with a pressure of less than 2 bar? http://www.boundarybathrooms.co.uk/WebShop.aspx?ProductDetail=44537 I need a simple minimalist concealed 3 way diverter to direct water flow after leaving a pumped shower unit I have...

    basin valve question

thanks for your responses guys. bahco - will be using these elswhere in the batroom where the pipework is concealled - but these will be on show hence I am looking at the more attractive ones - but was just concerned that they state high pressure only. but if you think it'll make no...

    basin valve question

i'm looking at purchasing some basin shut off valves - but the manufacturer lists them as high pressure - the water going to the basin is not going to be that high - why would these need high pressure - surely they're just an on/off valve? do you think they would work fine with the...

much higher cold pressure than hot - shower question

so using the grohe pumped shower - is it going to produce enough pressure to give a decent shower from a large overhead showerhead - one of those big 'rain' function ones. was thinking of having a three way divertor, so can either use overhead rain head, normal showerhead on slider rail or...

much higher cold pressure than hot - shower question

do you think i will be okay with feeding 1 bar pressure into it given that's right at the top of the limit? i think the the hot will be around .5 or .6 bar so that falls within their 5:1 pressure ratio

much higher cold pressure than hot - shower question

do they supply a flow restrictor then? what does that do - sorry really stupid question i know the other issue is I have a calleffi pressure reducing valve, which according to the specs will only take the water down to a minimum of 1 bar - will this be cutting it too close the the max input...

much higher cold pressure than hot - shower question

so the fact that i'm using a pressure reducer right before the cold enters the unit shouldn't throw up any issues with it? I was worried that the draw from the pump might have an adverse effect on the pressure reducing valve.

much higher cold pressure than hot - shower question

not sure yet, can be pretty flexible really - I am leaning towards putting it under the bath (it will be an over bath shower) - do you recommend positioning in a certain place?

much higher cold pressure than hot - shower question

well i bit the bullet and purchased the pumped version which will mean putting a pressure reducing valve on the cold supply before it enters the pump. you think this will work okay then serco - have you fitted one in a similar setup?

    calculating water pressure

thanks for your advice, even if it was in a (somewhat hostile) response. As a homeowner looking to purchase new bathroom fittings i need to find out what the water pressures I have are to determine if the fittings i'm looking at are suitable or not. Whilst I don't profess to be a plumber...
