    I'm assuming an RD532 is a 30CDi combi, is that right? There should always be 240V between Brown and purple at the fan if not then PCB or wiring harness are goosed. Have you checked continuity of harness to fan? Did you insert code plug into new PCB?

    You could but you will most probably need YP21's to do it, as you wont be able to get your bends tight enough.

    When i did my Oftec with WB the instructor set the combustion by sight on three boilers then checked all three with a FGA all of them were spot on. So it would seem it can be done if you know what your doing.

    But if the last call was HW then the valve will stay in HW regardless of the grey wire. So the grey wire does not hold the valve in the last position of whatever last called for heat. It will hold the valve in CH if CH was last to call for heat.

    A three port valve will always default to HW position. However if the hot water is satisfied it will go to heating position.
