    Central Heating Pipe Noise

We are getting a strange noise from central heating pipework (near boiler) rather akin to a extended scraping sound which finishes with the sound of water movement. It happens several times a day and not sure if it might be an airlock somewhere in the pipework or the pump itself. I have...

    Potterton Puma 80e noise

Thanks, do you mean the filling loop gauge for the central heating. I took a look and it was at about 1.4 bar (black arm) so I increased the pressure to 1.8 (same as the red guide arm). I have also recently tested all the rads for bleeding but there were all tip top. If it is the pump...

Hi, Just had the yearly corgi inspection on this boiler and tonight tried to have a shower to find that the water will run hot for 30 secs and then the flame cuts out. The water then runs cold for 20 secs and then proceeds to go hot again. I am going to call the engineer in the morning but...

    Tiling curves

Hi, Plumber recently fitted a basin for me. Unfortuantely the top surface of the basin has a slight curve rather than a straight edge. this means I can't just start the tiling directly above and drop a silcone bead on it as I have done in the past on other basins. I know the better way...
