    Wooden wardrobe door always damp

This is a mystery. About 13 years ago I had our old original bedroom cupboard doors dipped and stripped down to the bare wood. Ever since the edges of both doors have always been almost wet with moisture. The house isn't damp (old as it is) and we run a dehumidifier but the wood always seems to...

    Car scratched again

I will just go over it with the pen for now and see what happens. One thing for sure, I will never again buy a decent car as long as I live in this house. I will rue the day I didn't buy a house with a private driveway. Yes, might get one of those cameras but not sure scratching would trigger...

    Car scratched again

Something like chips away ? I think if I had a safe place to leave it I would invest the money but for now it's money down the drain because they will keep doing it. I will just go over it with the pen for now (I already have one) just to keep the water out as it is down to white. I have never...

    Car scratched again

I am again (see my other post) getting my 2002 Polo scratched by some lovely person/people. I used one of those pens from Asda which take the edge off it but the car has so many marks it just looks vagrant (despite me looking after it) I would pay to have the bodywork repaired but they could...

Best option for stopping vandal scratching my car

Well, I have come outside and it has happened again after the best part of a 2 year lull. This time there is a deep scratch and then some scribbling marks. It's just so depressing. Time to get CCTV and the next house with a private driveway. To be honest, the amount of dog fouling we are getting...

Good run around for £300-400 ?

Had a look at it and inside was not in good condition. Very strong perfume smell of oils which i still have on my hand now despite washing a lot. Think perhaps hoding a smell of damp. There was some condensation inside the car on the windows. Drove very badly and gears were hard to find. Left it.

    Sealing a soil pipe

Ok, just before I order I measured the length of the pipe and it's about 160 mm (allowing 4cm inside the lead pipe) Would this be a safe bet and if so, which are the best prices online to buy from ? http://www.mcalpineplumbing.com/4-110mm-flexible-wc-connector-medium-length.html Cheers.

    Sealing a soil pipe

Looking at it wouldn't the 14 degree angle be too much of a slope ? Again, couldn't I seal it with plumber's putty ? Thanks.

    Sealing a soil pipe

I know it looks a pig's ear but this is what we inherited when we moved in. The out pipe is lead. The black band is my sealing with black gutter seal. It's holds for a few days but obviously I need a better solution.
