Air to air Heat Pump Suggestions for 5x3 conservatory

Personally I would go for a split system air to air heatpump. Cooling in the summer, heating in the winter. Talk to an air con guy who will be able to size the unit for heating in the winter.

    Replacement hot water cylinder

So have you already got someone in to replace this cylinder?

    Replacement hot water cylinder

Very important. I suggest you get an installer in. As the job is not as straightforward as you thought.

    Replacement hot water cylinder

You'll need to replace the cylinder with a Gravity Indirect Coil Cylinder. 1" Gravity Tappings, I normally purchase RM Cylinder ones from my supplier.

Air to air Heat Pump Suggestions for 5x3 conservatory

Be careful with the split units, as you will need a bender to bend pipework. If you think you can manipulate the pipe, think again. They normally come as a roll with twin pipework something like 3/8" and 5/16". I've fitted them in the past and sized correctly they will do the trick. High level...

    Leak from solar panel pipework

To the OP, go onto the MCS installer database and find local Solar Thermal Installers, they will have the gear and thermal transfer fluid to sort it. I look after a few systems in my area.

    New boiler time recommendations..

Have you budgeted for the installation cost? With that flow rate absolutely pointless going for anything above 20/30kw unless you will upgrade your mains at a later. It would be like buying a ferrari with it limited to 50mph.

ufh how many manifolds for 2 story house 2400sq/ft

Why not send some plans to some under floor heating suppliers, who will advise you what you need. You can then purchase the ufh layout from them when you or your installer purchases the materials from them.

    Nottingham

If he's really serious about Plumbing and Heating it will show in his work. Get him on a full-time course and tell him to knuckle down and produce his best. If he's in the top 3 he will have a good chance of getting a proper 4 year apprenticeship. That's how I got my last 2 apprentices, one is...

2 different boilers on CH system replacement quotes

To the OP, can I make a suggestion. Instead of the 30si, look at the Worcester Bosch 29CDI Classic - still a 30kw boiler but a better overall boiler than the 30si.

£2.4k for 6 rads. Just done 6 rads today with a shower pump and toilet innards £1.4k and I was the dearest out of the 3 quotes. But I was recommended. Go figure.

Need recommendations for a new boiler

Well have a look at the Worcester Bosch 34CDI Classic, if you fit the WB filter and either the comfort 2 or wave thermostat, you should receive 10 years parts and labour GUARANTEE - IF (Big If) the appliance has been fitted well and to a clean system. Right I got in before the deluge of Intergas...

    I'm thinking of training.....

I 'minded' someone who had undertaken one of these courses, must be 6 or 7 years ago. Anyway he earns a lot more doing full bathroom refurbs, he has let his Gas Safe expire, and he now has an apprentice plumber who is on day release at the local college. People will pay really good money for...

Is there anyone out there that can recommend a AS/GSHP supplier.....

Your MCS registered installer should give you all the paperwork required apart from your EPC for you to claim your RHI on the Ofgem site. I have email addresses of previous customers installations that I have their permission to forward on to prospective clients. Nothing better than personal...

Is there anyone out there that can recommend a AS/GSHP supplier.....

My bit of advice be vary wary of the estimated RHI payments. Also have you costed the inevitable upsizing of your radiators. 8-9k for a retrofit is going to be on the lower end of the budget.
