Hijacking this thread a bit but when it comes to refilling the central heating system after draining down a radiator, will a combi boiler automatically de-air the system after it has been refilled and brought up to pressure, or would the rads have to be bled as with other types of boiler?

Stephen, Inset stoves are designed to work with or without a chimney liner. They don't need flue liners if the chimney is in good condition and doesn't leak fumes into the house.

OK, Finally got round to removing the dead leg in the kitchen and it made no difference. After a quick check, remembered there is another redundant section in the bathroom where the shower will be fitted once the tiling is completed. Purged this section of air and now all is working perfectly...
