    Conduit / cable gland

Thanks for the explanation, yes I have mis-understood, I pictured just the connector part of the rose being used and not the cover! (ie the connection part facing inside conduit box, flat side facing outwards). Makes total sense now, thanks. Think I will go for 1.5mm flex though as it fits...

    Conduit / cable gland

Thanks for the clarification, makes sense now. Could you add a lid over the rose if you wanted too? Reason I ask because wouldn't it look ugly? Rose has thread around it, writing plus knock out lines on the back of it, and you got to find a white one!

Hi, looking for some advice please. Intend to fit a suspended 6ft flurorescent fitting (0.5m with chains) in my workshop. From what I read I should convert T&E to flex from conduit box. Do you use one of these bushes on the end of conduit? And then for the flex Thank you!

    Trousers With Large Thigh Pockets.

Bought motorcycle cargo kevlar trousers (plain black) off ebay for biking, about £40, but now I use them everyday for work! Got double pockets on thigh, also keeping me warm in the cold. Not for summer though unless you want sticky ball sack

Fridge freezer power cord not long enough.

I had to do this before on a washing machine, I took off the complete flex/plug and replaced it with a longer flex/plug, the new cable I bought had a moulded plug too. Keep original though in case you need to return it.

    12v transformer outside

Thanks for the replies mikefromlondon & gerrydelasel. I'm now discouraged in installing it inside a enclosure box, mainly because of the heat and size of box required, not so much of the water ingress ... so will buying the proper outdoor led driver instead! Not really had a problem with the...

Hi, thank you all for the replies! Much appreciated, Thanks button to you all :-) Ok, As I can't install it inside suitably without running big lengths of cable everywhere, and I don't really want a massive enclosure box on wall outside (plus they are quite expensive for a good quality one)...
