    There's a limit of pitch difference when one can get battens to course .there are times when pitches are too different for battens to course and stay within the correct gauges . Try , 40 degrees and a 70 degrees . You won't get them to course , you will end with dissimilar amount of courses...

    It was pointed in different mortar used to bed the verge. It should be bedded and pointed in the same mortar. Also , the battens have been left to long and need trimming back before the verge is re bedded. Long term , pointing isn't a solution

    It's a messy repair. Original felt is 1f non breathable. The white you see is a breathable membrane . Very few roofers would have any 1f in their vans these days

    During a soft strip , if bats are found . The ecologist Is licenced to handle and move the bat to a near by bat box which they will put nearby. Penalties are very harsh if you ignore

    That's cheap.. We did a church a year ago we had a guy on the scaffold watching for a week at 100 per hour .. pee take .. We are on another right now and no bats seen in the survey which costs about 5000 .. no bat , so no restriction

    If pitches are dissimilar then things are not straightforward as you might think . Yes the gauges look all over the place . But it certainly could be tiled . That much is correct A pig course near the top though

    You'll need a bat survey by ecologists as Catlad says They may spend a bit of time sitting in your garden waiting to see if bats go in or out , if so what types . Then they are likely to say when you can carry out works . They may even want you to soft strip the roof . They watch your roofers...
