Yes, that drill with a DE9503 battery as pictured: It's just that the bottom of the drill looks squarish and the DE9503 a little rounder.

Yes, possibly a TN-C-S earthing system where there's a single PEN (protective earth (PE) and neutral (N)) so both are at the same potential. I've not read the whole thread so apologies if you've already stated the earthing arrangements.
