Thanks for you input Richard Don't forget i aint a proffesional here i am just posting to ask advice :D Firstly the plumber told me to not bother plastering the boards just tile so i posted to ask if this was possible and was advised not to as if i decided in the future to retile my boards...

Had a plasterer round today to price up the job . says my door casings will have to come out as they are too big for the plaster board and that if the thistle is more than 3mill it will crack ??? Nothing is ever completely straight forward in rennovating a house is it ? :roll:

Has anyone done that thing where you put lines in the plaster on the beams to make it look like beams mine had to be studded out you see and boarded around . If so do you have any pics so i can show a plasterer when i find one thanks

MW its 2 cottages made into one house stone walls :D Just noticed you live in France whereabouts are you ? this pic shows you how far out i have had to come with battern insulation etc . Also told today have to do the reveals to the window with inch isulation covered plaster boards :roll:

mmm okay i will call the plumber in the morning i actually helped him lay the underfloor heating never thought to discuss what flooring i was fancying :roll: will post what type UFH it is and go from there :D

Agile that is why i posted to ask advice as obviously floor people are gonna tell me it is okay to use with UFH as they will want to sell it to me.It is what i fancy but will not move on it until i am 100 % sure it is okay to use . DH it will not be nailed to the screed i will be standing...
