On the unit I have seen the burner sits at the bottom and inside the heat exchanger which is not sealed from the rest of the unit. I take it the warm air dosent come into contact with this then. Thank you.

Is the filtered air that is blown across the heat exchanger and into the plenum chamber used also for combustion on an open flued unit. Thanks

I asked this question few weeks ago but still confused. Im quoting some of this from a book. Test for regulator working pressure at meter 'Turn on ONE appliance at full rate(lets say cooker)' should read 21mb+/- 2mb. (For arguments sake say pressure was 21mb). It then says with ALL APPLIANCES...

Thanks dave, It was 22 mb with 3 rings on but with boiler on HW and fire full on and then 4 rings and both oven and grill full on it dropped to 19mb. Is this normal? sorry to be so deep.

What is this hole actually for and how does it work? Am I right in saying that it is to break the flue pull (if so how) so the burner is not starved of air and also to change the air in the room. What could happen if it was covered up? An in depth answer would be a real help. Thanks for any help

Could somebody please explain the ignition sequence. (eg common, normally open, normally closed wires). Also what would happen if the fan was to fail and the air pressure switch/micro switch? was stuck down. Thanks
