    Plastic fittings

I’m not in that boat so if best not to mix, I’m happy with that. Do you know if they do an ‘easy lay’ type pipe? Is it pb or pex

    Plastic fittings

Does hep2o need a special pipe? I have about 10 lengths of jg pipe from last install and some fittings

    Plastic fittings

I’m thinking plastic for speed really. I need to fit new radiators and upgrade pipework at the same time. Was thinking plastic would be quicker and also easier to feed 22mm pipes under suspended floors

    Fire fitting possible with this?

yes the camera went all the way to the top and was clear. The terminal is for gas. the picture is from when we got the house, don’t think I can get much better due to height. It’s 3m+ from the flat roof of the bay window. I will try in the morning and see if I can get a better picture the...

    Fire fitting possible with this?

Yes, but that is a different fire in another room - sorry I realised that was a bit confusing

This is a picture of the rear of the house, you can see the stainless cowls (there are 2)

    Fire fitting possible with this?

There was no gas fire there and can’t even see a gas pipe. The back was solid and there was an extension lead run behind it for an electric fire. the other side of this wall is another liner which the old floor standing boiler was connected to. I had the boiler removed when we moved as it...

    Fire fitting possible with this?

The manual states a liner isn’t necessary, but I’ll let the gas installer do an inspection first, but think it may have to come out through the room. The chimney sweep did say that it may need removing (he cleaned lined) and he’d come back to sweep the chimney and camera it. He did the one at...

    Fire fitting possible with this?

Getting to the terminal is not easy as there was a loft conversion done in the 80s. No flat roof to shoot ladders from, would have to be from patio to chimney pot which is 8m+

    Fire fitting possible with this?

Was there a reason for leaving the old open fire bricks in?

    Fire fitting possible with this?

Will do, thank you. I have the manual so will do some measuring. It’s the coal model not the log one

    Fire fitting possible with this?

If I remember correctly the old bricks needed removing as it didn’t meet the minimum dimensions, but will leave for gas man to sort

    Fire fitting possible with this?

Hi Thanks for that. I’ll find a chimney man to come and sort the closure plate first then before I get the gas man to fit it. The dimension are fine once the old open fire bricks are removed which the chimney man would need to do before fitting pate I guess

    Fire fitting possible with this?

Hi all I’ve got a gazco logic he that I’m want to get fitted. I cut the fire place back panel as it was solid and needed chimney sweeping but found a flue liner in there as per picture. Question is can this fire be fitted with this or do I need to get another fire. Asking before I call a gas...

Advice on cutting fire back panel

Finally got round to cutting the panel. Did it with a diamond blade. Turns out there is a flue liner already in there, but also the old remnants of an open fire, so guessing someone had an outset fire at some point

    System advice

Hi all, Happy New Year I finally got around to measuring each room and using an online calculator to work out but. If I add all rads plus allow 10,000btu/3kw for the tank I get a total of 100,000btu. By the time I get the rads, some will be over sized so I estimate 110,000 btu. Does this then...

    System advice

Hi That’s interesting….how far did you run the 28mm primaries (doesn’t the boiler have 22mm connections). Reading up a lot don’t like the 438 we have. How does the low loss header with twin pumps work? I’ve got the Drayton just as 3 channel at the moment, ordered a trv to test its...
