    Bypass valve

New(ish) boiler so pump should be fine. With 28mm pipes running down to a 22mm backbone and then into 15mm feeds then there should be minimal system resistance. If everything is taking ages to warm up and the boiler's reaching set temp before the heat reaches the rads then I'd suspect either a...

    Swapping radiator.

At least - the more space then the better for heat transfer into the air travelling up rather than being absorbed by the wall.

    Reseal a Walk-in Shower Cabinet

Any plumber that performs shower installs wouldn't find it an issue, As long as there's no issue will disassembly then it should be down and up in a day. I've done 2 in the last month.

    Bypass valve

No - the boiler modulates down to maintain the output set temps 75deg these days is a bit too hot TBH and If the boiler is overshooting its target temp, then there may be a flow/circulation issue. TBH though it could also be that the system hasn't been balanced properly and that's adding to the...

Inlet on radiator now on the opposite side

If all the other radiators are the same type with the same valves and they all warm up TRV 1st, then chances are that one would be the same. That would have been the pipe layout the installer would have adopted when they were installed. If they are mixed then you would need to test that one.

    Drops from bottom of radiators

+1 Gas PTFE - 7 turns - turned on opposite to the tapping thread so it doesn't unravel when tightening.

    Reseal a Walk-in Shower Cabinet

Your enclosure can be taken off and all the bad silicone cleaned off and then put back together and re-sealed. As suggested, a shower should be dried after use and cleaned regularly. That and a good quality anti mould silicone needs to be used.

Plastic 1/2 cover to go onto rad brackets

The plastic shims are to stop the rad from rattling/clicking on the bracket. I would normally expect to find them. Yes the rad can be fitted without them, could it click without them, possibly.

    Who Needs DIY Bodges

Wouldn't be the first time I've hole sawed through an I-Beam for pipework, good quality bi-metal hole saw with a good drill and lubrication will make short work of it. Just make sure the holes/pipe is protected against rubbing damage.

    Who Needs DIY Bodges

Who's to say it was a professional? Looking at the soldering he wasn't a very good plumber never mind a professional IMO. A lot of so called professionals just aren't and a lot aren't even qualified. That's the trouble with plumbing, no regulation and the industry has made it so easy, where...

    Which dow 785 ?

I have yet to find any silicone that does not eventually go black, even the mould resistant ones, neutral or acetoxy. The trick is drying, don't let silicone stay wet, it can be as simple as that.

    Heating but no DHW

Programmer sends 240V to the cyl stat > cyl stat sends that 240V out to the 2 port > that 240V powers the 2 port valves motor that opens the valve > the microswitch in the 2port valve is triggered by the valve opening and sends 240v, that is running in on the grey wire, over to the orange wire...

    Which dow 785 ?

Just ensure it's mould resistant sanitary silicone. I have used both and haven't noticed any difference but as suggested the neutral cure is more designed for plastics/acrylic. Good silicone is a practice thing TBH. You can help it by using masking tape and silicone finishing tools and the...

What is the purpose of this pipe?

You would always want any AAV to be above the highest spillover level of the highest fixture it is connect to. Why I didn't suggest an Antivac bath trap. If the AAV is placed anywhere other than close to the bath trap, then shallow bath trap seal could still be pulled if the bath empties...

Unvented cylinder - cannot turn off immersion

Looking at that pic the immersion isn't connected to anything. If it was there would be a live and neutral connected to the 2 top terminals on the left hand block.

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

An inline shower booster is small beer, nothing like a proper shower pump and it's really easily removed when leaving without any obvious signs apart from a small section of replacement pipe.

    Heating but no DHW

Be careful, if the HW 2 port is manually latched, there will be no HW temp control. The cylinder stat controls power from the programmer to energise the valve and then shut's it down when the it reaches set point. If the valve is manually open and the boiler is being controlled by the room...

    Radiator design contains no water

The ribs in the rad have to be what will carry the water through internal waterways by the looks of it, no other way it could work. TBH though , cant say I've ever seen that actual type before.
