    self smoothing floor mix

I tried doing the same thing a few years back, made a right balls up of it, it's quite difficult to get level and get the edges to blend if you have a few dips in the floor. I did try to do it all at once, what i should have done was take it in 1-2 meter strips and work your way through that...

Here we go, almost shaped: Well i have shaped the garden to how i wanted it (Thank god). It's now time to put the walls up. Instead of using the round posts, i have decided to use the half cut rounds and put them on posts horizontally, basically easier, cheaper and much more versatile for...

My Garden tier adventure (updated pics in last few pages)

Thanks, i have one of those small neumatic drills which does get through the hard stuff, but slowely :) I'll persevere and get down to at least 300mm. Should i have a gap between the posts and earth and put a membrane with pea shingle, like i have read for the retaining walls? Thanks

Strip of land, what to do??

How steep is the slope? You could always put a row of rolled logs across every 5-6 ft, kind of mini tiering it to keep things in place, or tier it properly?

Putting up a new fence / Bamboo screening

If you can spend the exta i'd go for the reed type screening (think that's what it's called) - As the Bamboo look rubish after a while, I had my entire garden wrapped in the stuff, and it looked really good at first, but then it started going brital and dis-coloured. Cheers
