    Thanks once more. I replaced both ends to use an open hozelock connector with non return valve and bled the washer for like 15 mins. It still wouldn't turn on. I feel this Is a far bigger problem.

    Is there a way to tell without going there when its raining to inspect ? When you look at the brickwork outside, it looks damp/wet but its hard to say without checking on a rainy day.

    @Gasguru, No insulation anywhere...that hot outlet from the cylinder is pulling heat out 24/7 wasting energy. Which pipe is this and any idea why it would be installed in the first place, is it actually serving any purpose ?
