Shoe cupboard and high skirting board

as its specifically for shoes i would be looking at what material the unit is made from and replicate the shape and material in the form off 2 matching sides off at least 190mm to replace the legs to attach to the base and short at the back to clear the rear skirting and iff the unit is in a...

Is there any ceiling light that can act just as a cover?

my thoughts exactly highly inefficient even on masonery block or brick you would need 6"/143mm skirting to make up the difference as 5"/119 wouldnt allow you any scribing to the floor

    Trimming Oak Window Boards

    Multitool Blade for Floorboards?

as an aside many a blade can look fine but be blunt with great care and gentle varying pressure on non-aggressive blades [not highly ground pointy ones] you can feel the teeth grip the ridges on your fingertips with the more they grip with light pressure the sharper they are only talking 1-2mm...

    Nailgun

ok no expert on nails i have a ryobi 18 [50mm]and 16 gauge [65mm]and they are brilliant at pull out resistance for the size on cladding but the head will pull though long before the nail shank looses grip so i wouldnt trust on studs but could be wrong with longer nails ??

    Nailgun

think small pin gun for 18 gauge and pin gun for 16 gauge not nail gun you need nails with big heads and big shanks not sub 2mm shanks so look at 15 gauge collated nails

Correct hinge to solve this problem?

other option iff you have a cabinet to the rhs not under a sink that you can move swap the machine to that position

Correct hinge to solve this problem?

no hinge will work in that situation you will need to add a perhaps 75 to 150mm strip /post and hinge off that with a narrower door as an aside that cupboard is now dead space and the washing machine will need to be removed clear to work on that cupboard [door needs to open to around 25 to 45...

    Floor Joists Question

general comments the joist support /rigidity/structural strength will be roughly 2 to 3 times as much dependent on cross-section in other words flat 2 to 3 time the timbers in the same width for the same support /rigidity level but as said a structural engineer or other competent person [not...
