Using Aircon to heat - power consumption?

That's what I figured. Think I'll buy it in January then, need to spend the same about on insulation first

Using Aircon to heat - power consumption?

By noisy, i guess you just mean the external noise of the unit when it kicks in, and the fan sound depending on speed inside?

Using Aircon to heat - power consumption?

Thanks all. So the general consensus is to get an Aircon as it'll be cheaper in the long run as gas isnt an option. Regarding heat pump aircon etc, is there a certain type of heating source I need to avoid or is that system I linked pretty much spot on. Looks like it can go into the ring main...

Using Aircon to heat - power consumption?

I'm currently looking at getting some Aircon installed in my external office which is about 15m2. I'm looking at something like this...

    TV colour keeps dropping

I'm not sure. As you say, i'll have to record and rewind. Haven't noticed on Netflix, Plex, PS4, Shield inputs though

    TV colour keeps dropping

Not that I'm aware of but I'll have a look. It only happens on TV though. Recently noticed it whilst watch The Bodyguard and X-Factor. At first I thought it was a dodgy camera on the X-Factor as the saturation slightly dropped for a second, then when the camera changed it was fine.

    TV colour keeps dropping

I've got a KS8000 and over the past couple of weeks, I've noticed the colours on the TV drop ever now and then. By drop, it would be like the saturation drops and then comes back. I've never noticed this on Plex or Netflix, only on TV. Could it be the booster is failing or something else?

    Aircon & Heating Unit Electrics

Yep that's the type I'm looking at. Compressor outside, vent inside. So these can run off a spur? Is going to be for a single room about 10m2. If it's cheaper to run than a panel heater than win win. Don't suppose you anything about them? Any recommendations?

    Aircon & Heating Unit Electrics

Just weighing up the pro's and con's at the moment, however in the process of renovating a spare room. The room itself doesn't have any heating, so the original plan was to install a panel heater, however as the room is going to be used as an office, and my current office has been absolutely...

    Neighbours roots disrupting house foundations

This isn't my house, but my grandmas house who is 84. She lives in a dorma-bungalow, and down the side of her house is a concrete path that's hers, then a fence and then the neighbours garden. On the neighbours side of the fence, there are a row of conifers about 10m tall. She's just been...

RCD keeps turning off but nothing else

It's the shower pump, although not sure what else it's powering though (if at all anything else)

RCD keeps turning off but nothing else

Back now so have checked: Looking at this, the RCCB is what keeps tripping, and RCBO's or MCB's to the right of it don't trip. Pretty sure they're RCBO's though?

RCD keeps turning off but nothing else

OK thanks both. I guess since its just the RCD that is tripping I can rule out appliances since it was overnight and nothing was on. The circuits protected by the RCD are the cooker, hob and both socket rings. I do have an outside socket that went faulty, and it did rain last night. I wonder...

RCD keeps turning off but nothing else

Apologies for the lack of terminology, or incorrect here. On our CU, we've got half behind an RCD. For some reason this morning, the RCD turned off whilst all of the RCBO's remained on I turned the RCD back on, and 5 minutes later it shut off, same scenario. Tried again, shut off immediately...

Best Petrol Power Washer under £1000

Thanks. As I know they will ask, can these be connected to hose pipes or do they need to be fed from a tank?

Best Petrol Power Washer under £1000

Can anyone suggest some Petrol Power Washers under £1000, maybe a top end and a mid range machine. My uncle is after a new one and I haven't got a clue about them!

    Vapour Barrier Installation?

    Vapour Barrier Installation?

Quick question on re-converting our garage. Its a single skin brick wall, however the plan is to insulate with solid insulation, and then plasterboard on top, however i need to bring the walls in a bit to get over the block nibs. Is the correct order Brick - Insulation - Stand off framing -...
