Personally I would use a couple of compression stop ends, especially if the pipework is outside. Cant you trace the pipework and cap off inside the house?

Triggering a pump in a negative head system

If you are going down the road of a pump, why pay all that money for a venturi shower, the reason to fit one is so you dont have to fit a pump. Best wet might be to fit a negative head pump and a normal mixer

    Identify drop flush

Thanks Seco, are you saying that the one in the cistern is the arcadia you have indicated? Its not a concealed cistern, just normal close coupled. Assume that the different colour of cable etc is different design? Cheers

    Identify drop flush

Hi Guys, Can anyone identify this drop flush for me, make, where to purchase etc? The top 'cable' goes off to the push button on the cistern lid. Also, is this the type that the top bit can twist off and be replaced, without taking the whole w/c apart? Seal is letting by and need to...

    What fittings?

House is earthed to latest 17th edition, so no need for supp bonding (so I have been told) although all the pipes in the bathroom are already supp bonded from years ago.

    What fittings?

Sorry guys, did not notice the smaller 'nut' under the top one! So assume that the top and bottom 'nut' are part of a male iron, remove that whole fitting, and replace with another male iron? cheers

    What fittings?

Ok, remove the brass nut and all lead etc above it. I am then left with the galv and male thread. My concern was that the 'fitting' on the galv looks more part of the galv, not a fitting as such. If you are telling me a fi with comp will do the job, we are both happy! Thanks for your thoughts

    What fittings?

Thanks Seco, was thinking that, just wanted to be sure! Assume the thread on the old galv will be 3/4"? Will the FI seal OK against the galv? Once again, thanks for your quick response and help :D
