    baxi solo 3 circuit diagram

Sorry, sorry & thrice sorry folks! I did not realize how crappy that image was! Secondly, due to being booted out of house and home by the (ex) wife, I have not been able to relaibly access the internet & hence emails etc. so was not aware of the problem! Now that I am somewhat getting...

    Boiler fan

I thought the fan in these boilers simply blew the exhaust gasses (produced after the gas has burnt off) out of the flu. If the air pressure switch does not detect that the fan is creating enough pressure to vent these gasses then the boiler will not ignite. It's a safety 'thing'. What this...

Yep, don't use sandpaper! If anything, use wire wool with baby oil as suggested.

    My Drill!

Ha, dropped my precious Makita cordless power drill down the cavity wall of my 2 storey house. I knocked it with my elbow and down it fell, all the way down the 3 inch cavity from the top of the house all the to way to the bottom. I could just about see it with my torch shining down there...

Baxi Solo 3 PF50 boiler - Chattering relay fault

OK, provide evidence of your statement please. I am an electronics engineer with 20+ years experience and I'm sorry, but what you've stated there is utter and complete nonsense.

Baxi Solo 3 PF50 boiler - Chattering relay fault

Just tripped across this & just in case anyone is reading... Apologies, but that statement is quite wrong. The voltage rating of an electrolytic capacitor merely denotes its MAXIMUM working voltage, a voltage that should NOT therefore be exceeded. Capacitance of electrolytics can indeed...

Worchester combi oil boiler 'goes to sleep'

I have had something VERY similar happen to my Baxi Boiler.... But first, there are 2 heat sensors used on my boiler. 1 is a thermistor - this is an NTC resistor (Negative Temperature Curve), the resistance of which is related to its environmental temperature. It is usually located on...

    baxi solo 3 circuit diagram

[UPDATED POST] OK, since the first post of my schemtic I have updated this (original) post becasue the original image was too crap to be read properly. I have therefore improved this image and also added the other two PCBs that I came across and rev-eng'd. As you can see there are 3...

Baxi Solo 3 PCB circuit diagram

Selection of circuit diagrams I have reverse engineered of the the Baxi Solo 3 (pfl 50). Applies also to the Baxi Solo 2 control PCB. There appears to be 3 revisons of this PCB.

    Baxi boiler problems

OK, heating engineer been and gone (great guys at town-gas.co.uk)... He was completely happy with: a) My new controller PCB from eBay. b) The new fan from eBay and the way I had fitted it. ....... So, to the problem... The 'old' PCB does indeed have a known design fault which the...

^ Good advice, thank you. Yes it is all off and has been since the venting gas issue. Unfortunately my heating engineer friend lives miles away.. I've promised the wife (and now you guys) to contact local heating engineers today. I PROMISE!!! Andy
